“Two UNEXPECTED changes make”- Leeds United predicted lineup vs Blackburn Rovers revealed as Daniel Farke makes two changes from Derby display
Leeds United manager Daniel Farke faces a selection dilemma ahead of their New Year’s Day clash with Blackburn Rovers.
The Whites will host John Eustace’s Rovers at Elland Road tomorrow afternoon, a month after their 1-0 loss to the Lancashire side at Ewood Park.
Leeds have been in fantastic form at home and could make it 10 consecutive wins in their last 10 home matches if they defeat Blackburn on New Year’s Day.
With the hectic fixture schedule, Farke may be forced to make further adjustments after swapping out four of his Boxing Day starters for fresh legs in the trip to Derby County on Sunday night.
Sam Byram’s fitness will be closely monitored ahead of Leeds’ New Year kick-off, while Ethan Ampadu has played three full 90-minute matches in just eight days after recovering from a two-month injury absence.
Here’s how we expect Leeds to line up against Rovers:

1. GK: Illan Meslier
The French goalkeeper has kept three clean sheets in the last three matches, reaching 200 appearances in Leeds’ most recent game.

2. RB: Jayden Bogle
Bogle has been in excellent form over the festive period.

3. CB: Joe Rodon
Rodon has been consistent all season, often putting his body on the line and contributing offensively with his line-breaking runs.

4. CB: Pascal Struijk
Struijk is one of the strongest aerially in the Championship.

5. LB: Sam Byram
Byram has started 10 of the last 13 games as a versatile full-back on both sides, and due to limited options, he may be required to play again.

6. CM: Ethan Ampadu
The captain was back to his best at Derby, and it’s hard to see Farke dropping him from the starting XI.
