“If you can sack Mourinho”- Bellew namedrops Mourinho in response to Everton question he’s asked about Dyche
Tony Bellew believes Dan Friedkin will run Everton with a no-nonsense approach, similar to his leadership at Roma.
The Friedkin Group completed their takeover of Everton a few weeks ago, and with the January transfer window fast approaching, many are already questioning the group’s plans for the future.
Bellew is confident that Friedkin will manage Everton decisively, drawing on his past experience with Roma, where he dismissed high-profile figures such as Jose Mourinho, Daniele De Rossi, and Ivan Juric. Bellew doesn’t anticipate the Friedkin Group hesitating if they decide changes are needed at Everton.
In a live interview on talkSPORT on December 30, Bellew shared his thoughts on the Friedkin takeover, expressing his belief that the change will benefit Everton: “I don’t know what the future holds, but Dan Friedkin knows exactly what he’s doing. If you look at what he did at Roma, he won’t waste any time. If he doesn’t like something or someone, you’re gone. If you can sack Mourinho, you can sack anyone.”
Friedkin Must Win Over Fans in January
While Everton fans are celebrating the departure of Farhad Moshiri, uncertainty remains as the Friedkin Group settles into ownership. Fans are eager to see how the new owners will implement their plans for the club’s future.
