“Everton’s Relegation Crisis: The Shocking Concern Revealed After Bournemouth Defeat

Clinton Morrison warns that Everton could face relegation from the Premier League if they fail to address their goalscoring problems.

The Sky Sports pundit expressed concern for the Toffees’ survival after their 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth on January 4 at the Vitality Stadium.

Morrison believes the team is overly dependent on Jordan Pickford’s exceptional performances and their defensive stability to secure results.

Speaking on Football Daily’s Premier League Review on January 5, the 45-year-old stated: “The team I worry about is Everton because they don’t score enough goals.

“You can’t keep relying on Pickford and the defense to always play brilliantly. He was outstanding against Bournemouth, and they nearly earned a point. But if they don’t fix the problem of scoring goals, I’m really concerned about them.”

Everton’s survival in the Premier League is under threat under Sean Dyche, who has managed to keep the club in the top flight in recent years, but their current situation looks bleak.

The Toffees are 16th in the table, just one point above 18th-place Ipswich Town, following a series of disappointing results.

While they have managed to secure points against Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City, they have struggled against teams like Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth.

Everton have scored the second-fewest goals in the Premier League this season, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Beto failing to find their form in front of goal.

Armando Broja, who has started the last two games after returning from injury, has not made much of an impact and recently picked up another injury concern.

Youssef Chermiti, another forward, has been unavailable due to fitness issues, leaving Dyche with limited attacking options.

Iliman Ndiaye and Dwight McNeil have been the only bright spots in attack for Everton, but the team needs more contributors if they are to avoid relegation.

It would be a humiliating blow for the Toffees if they were to be relegated to the Championship ahead of their move to Bramley-Moore Dock.

In other Everton news, there are growing tensions as Beto waits for a potential move during the winter transfer window.
