Just In”- Sensational and highly-rated Tottenham star admits he’s ‘hurting’ at current club amid reports he could join Leeds United in January

Leeds United are currently at the top of the Championship table after a 3-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday, extending their unbeaten streak to 10 matches. However, it’s a different story for Tottenham Hotspur.

Daniel Farke’s side is looking strong for promotion, despite the manager showing frustration during the win on Sunday. On-loan Tottenham player Manor Solomon scored the opening goal, followed by two late strikes that sealed the victory.

Meanwhile, at Tottenham, things aren’t going well. Archie Gray scored an own goal as Spurs were beaten 3-2 by Everton on Sunday, leaving them without a Premier League win since December 15 and sitting in 15th place.

One player currently at Tottenham is being targeted by Leeds in the upcoming transfer window: Ben Davies. Leeds are reportedly interested in securing a deal for Davies, whose contract expires in June.

Ben Davies Calls Current Period at Tottenham “Toughest” Since Joining

Ben Davies, who is teammates with five Leeds players at the national team level, made his return from injury on Sunday, playing the full 90 minutes against Everton. After the 3-2 loss, Davies admitted that this is the toughest period Tottenham have experienced since he joined the club in 2014 for £10 million from Swansea.

“This is probably the toughest period since I’ve been at the club. We’ll see the players who are willing to fight and show they really care about this. It’s a tough time for the club and squad,” Davies told BBC.

“We need people who will really fight. I see the work we put in every day. Everyone is hurting. It’s a very difficult period, and we’re hurting too, just like the fans,” the defender added, amid reports linking him with Leeds.

Ben Davies’ Potential Move to Leeds United

The prospect of Davies moving to Leeds is an ambitious one, but he is well-regarded not only by his Wales teammates but also within the club, given Leeds’ previous interest in him.

Ben Jacobs reported last week that Davies would be open to a move to Leeds, even on a temporary basis. However, the chances of Tottenham allowing him to leave in the next two weeks are slim.

With Tottenham struggling with injuries, including having only 11 fit players on Sunday, and key players like Richarlison and James Maddison unavailable, Spurs are unlikely to sell any players until their squad is more complete.

Thus, Davies’ potential move to Leeds seems more likely for the summer, especially considering his contract situation. By then, Tottenham will have more players back from injury, and with Davies unlikely to sign a new deal, Leeds could step in with an offer.
