According to French outlet L’Equipe, the deal for Nuamah is now stalled due to Lyon and Botafogo owner John Textor set to receive £27 million from the sale of Luiz Henrique to Zenit.
Since Lyon holds the sporting rights to Henrique, they will receive the full fee, which is expected to delay Nuamah’s potential exit. Additionally, Everton have not yet made a formal bid for the player. As a result, Nuamah’s move to Everton is currently off.
In light of this, Everton may turn their attention to Galatasaray winger Baris Alper Yilmaz, whom they were reportedly interested in last week. West Ham United are also monitoring his situation, and it is believed a £25 million bid could be enough to secure his services. The Turkish international has already scored 11 goals this season, making him a highly promising target for the Toffees.
