“Matheus Cunha Drops Bombshell Announcement Right Before Arsenal Game – Exclusive Details of Private Conversation Revealed
Arsenal are among a number of Premier League clubs reportedly interested in signing Matheus Cunha.
Matheus Cunha and his wife, Gabriela Nogueira da Cunha, have announced that they are expecting their second child. The couple made the news public on social media, just hours ahead of Arsenal’s match against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Cunha has been a key figure in the transfer rumors this winter, with Arsenal reportedly showing interest. However, after serving a suspension earlier this month, the forward has returned to the Wolves lineup and is set to play against Mikel Arteta’s team at Molineux.
Wolves’ head coach, Vitor Pereira, acknowledged Cunha’s situation during his pre-match press conference, particularly following his previous criticism of the player’s body language in the last game against Chelsea. Pereira stated, “I’ve spoken with him, and he’s very committed to the team. He has never asked to leave; he wants to stay, help us, and play tomorrow to try to win.”
Pereira also reassured that Cunha remains a key part of the team, adding, “He’s my player, not for sale, as confirmed by the club. He knows what I expect from him as a captain. Our conversation was solid, and he’s ready for the match. He’s an important player for us.”
Shortly after these comments, Cunha and Gabriela shared their pregnancy news. In an Instagram post on Friday evening, the couple revealed a sonogram photo together, with a second image showing Gabriela holding both an ultrasound image and a pregnancy test. “And now we’re four,” she wrote, adding, “Endlessly grateful to God for being so blessed.”
Their first child, Levi, was born in May 2020 in Berlin while Cunha was playing for Hertha. The family moved to Madrid the following year when Atletico signed Cunha before he joined Wolves 18 months ago.
