Leicester City Ends Losing Streak with Comeback Win Against Tottenham, Myles Lewis-Skelly’s Recovery Progress

Leicester City ended their seven-match Premier League losing streak on Sunday with a remarkable 2-1 comeback victory over Tottenham Hotspur, lifting them out of the relegation zone.

It has been a tough period for manager Ruud van Nistelrooy, who had watched his team endure a string of defeats before this crucial win.

Following the match, van Nistelrooy was quick to praise Jamie Vardy, highlighting the 38-year-old’s pivotal goal and invaluable leadership on the field.

Vardy, among several standout performers, was key in what was arguably Leicester’s most important victory of the season.

But it wasn’t just the result against Spurs that had fans buzzing—an update on winger Abdul Fatawu has also brought optimism.

Abdul Fatawu Shares Positive Update as Leicester Star Accelerates Recovery

Leicester were clinical in their win over Spurs, but that hasn’t always been the case this season, with the Foxes failing to score in five of their previous seven matches.

One of the key reasons behind their lack of attacking edge has been the absence of Fatawu, who has been sidelined with an ACL injury since the end of November.

Before his injury, the 20-year-old Ghanaian winger had been a standout performer, contributing two assists in his first 11 Premier League appearances.

Van Nistelrooy has certainly missed Fatawu’s presence, with the initial prognosis indicating he would be out for the remainder of the season.

However, Fatawu has been working hard on his recovery and has recently shared a video on Instagram showcasing his progress. Alongside the footage, he wrote: “2 months after my surgery. Good progress lately.”

Leicester Looking for Temporary Replacement for Fatawu

Fatawu’s injury raised concerns among Leicester fans about the team’s attacking options, and those worries have proven valid since November.

The Foxes have struggled to create chances, relying on the likes of Bilal El Khannouss and Vardy to provide moments of brilliance.

Vardy’s form had also dipped before the win over Tottenham, leading many to suggest that Leicester should sign a new attacker to fill the void left by Fatawu.

Recent reports have linked the club with former Liverpool star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who can play both as a midfielder and on the wing.

While he may not be the most exciting signing, Oxlade-Chamberlain could provide the boost van Nistelrooy is seeking as the window nears its end.
