Latest Transfer Bombshell: Brighton now in pole position to sign £20m+ star who’s spoken to Hurzeler

Brighton & Hove Albion are reportedly in prime position to sign a new striker in a deal worth over £20m, using the winter transfer window as a stepping stone toward their summer plans.

The Seagulls have had a relatively quiet January as the transfer deadline approaches, having initially made a splash by securing Diego Gomez from Inter Miami.

However, Brighton’s track record in the transfer market is strong, and any new arrivals are likely to prove valuable in the summer.

Despite the quiet window, rumors have been circulating, with players like El Hadji Malick Diouf and Habib Diarra among those linked to the club.

In addition to targeting a left-back, Brighton are reportedly focused on securing a summer deal for Stefanos Tzimas.

According to Sky Sports’ Florian Plettenberg, the club is now in pole position to sign the 19-year-old from FC Nurnberg, who have valued him at €25m (£21m), plus bonuses.

Before finalizing the deal, Nurnberg must first trigger their €18m (£15m) option to buy the forward permanently from PAOK Salonika, which they are expected to do.

Having already reportedly spoken with the promising striker, it seems increasingly likely that Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler will land his target this summer.

Tzimas, described as “one of the most exciting teenage strikers in Europe” by talent scout Jacek Kulig, has been a standout for Nurnberg in the 2. Bundesliga, netting 10 goals and providing 2 assists in just 17 appearances.

With his potential and goal-scoring instincts, the Greek teenager could be the latest addition to Brighton’s impressive list of rising talents.

If the deal goes through, Brighton could be pulling off another transfer masterstroke, bringing in a young star destined for success.
