Kevin Thelwell replacement found, teenager makes his debut: Three Everton predictions for the rest of 24/25
Since David Moyes’ return to Goodison Park, Everton has been climbing up the league table.

Everton set to replace Kevin Thelwell with Dan Ashworth
It’s widely expected that the Friedkin Group will part ways with sporting director Kevin Thelwell this summer.
Thelwell’s contract expires at the end of the season, and there has been no indication that it will be extended.
As a result, it wouldn’t be surprising if Everton finalizes a pre-contract agreement with Dan Ashworth to take over the role. Following his unexpected departure from Manchester United last year, reports suggested that the Friedkin Group had expressed interest in hiring Ashworth. This is something to watch.
Martin Sherif to make senior debut
With Armando Broja and Dominic Calvert-Lewin both sidelined with injuries, Beto is currently Everton’s only fit senior striker. This opens the door for under-21 forward Martin Sherif to potentially make his senior debut in the coming weeks, having been named on the bench for three of the past four games.
Sherif, who turned 18 last summer, has represented the Netherlands at youth level, highlighting his pedigree in Everton’s academy.
Everton eyes a top 10 finish
At the start of the year, Everton’s primary focus was simply survival. Under Dyche, they were dangerously close to relegation before Moyes took charge. Since his arrival, the team has experienced a remarkable surge up the standings.
Though there’s still a long way to go, Everton’s current form gives them a real chance of finishing in the top 10. They are only eight points behind 10th-placed Brighton and have a game in hand, making a top 10 finish very achievable.
