Bournemouth’s recent form was halted with a 2-0 defeat to Liverpool last Saturday (February 1), ending their 12-match unbeaten run. Meanwhile, the Blues are in good form, winning three consecutive matches and now holding a nine-point cushion above the Premier League relegation zone.
Despite Everton’s strong run, Carragher believes Bournemouth will have the upper hand in this match. He predicted a 2-1 win for the visitors in his Super 6 forecast, which would see Everton eliminated from the FA Cup.
A victory would be a massive achievement for Moyes and would serve as a great response to Carragher’s prediction. The Toffees haven’t won a trophy since their 1995 FA Cup victory over Manchester United.
Last year, they were knocked out in the fourth round by Luton Town, who were in the Premier League at the time.
If Moyes can guide his team to victory over Bournemouth, who had gone unbeaten since November 23 before last weekend’s loss, it would be a significant achievement and boost their confidence for the rest of the competition.
Bournemouth have beaten Everton in their last three league meetings, making it a tough challenge for the hosts.
