Leeds United are eager to make Manor Solomon’s loan move from Tottenham Hotspur permanent and plan to approach the club at the end of the season, according to Fabrizio Romano on GIVEMESPORT’s Market Madness podcast.
The Israeli winger joined Leeds last summer to strengthen Daniel Farke’s attacking options after the club fell short of an immediate Premier League return.
With Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter departing, Farke has made Solomon a key player in his squad, and Leeds currently sit five points clear at the top of the Championship with 12 games remaining.
As Leeds look ahead to potential investment for further strengthening, Solomon is at the forefront of their plans.
Romano: Leeds Will Pursue Solomon’s Permanent Move
Plans to Approach Tottenham Soon
Speaking on Market Madness, Romano shared insights into Solomon’s future and revealed Leeds’ intentions.
“Yes, Leeds definitely want to keep him. They’ll try. However, getting promoted is key because Solomon is a player who can play at higher levels.
As you mentioned, other Premier League clubs will likely show interest,” Romano explained. “At the moment, it’s not very advanced.
The player is fully focused on his football. There’s no concrete agreement yet, but Leeds are definitely interested in making this deal permanent. They’ll approach Tottenham as the season concludes.”
Leeds do not have an option to buy in the current deal that brought Solomon to Elland Road, meaning they’ll need to negotiate a fee with Tottenham while fending off interest from other clubs.
Romano noted that last summer, Leeds managed to fend off interest from Italy, as Solomon preferred to remain in England. The hope is they can repeat this success in the coming months.
“There was interest from Italian clubs before he joined Leeds, but he chose to stay in England. We’ll see what happens, but Leeds will certainly try to keep him,” Romano added.

Player Wants Premier League Return
Leeds are preparing to start negotiations with Tottenham later in the season, once their Premier League status is more certain.
GIVEMESPORT sources reveal that Spurs are open to selling Solomon, with Ange Postecoglou having a wealth of attacking options and expected to add more this summer.
However, Tottenham is reportedly seeking a fee of around £20m for the former Fulham player, meaning Leeds will have to decide whether to meet the asking price.
