Forget re-signing Phillips: Farke must unleash “exciting” Leeds prodigy

However, Phillips has struggled for game time since his move, making only 60 appearances and spending time on loan at West Ham and Ipswich Town. Recent reports suggest that Phillips could return to Leeds if they achieve promotion.

His stats in the Championship this season are equally impressive, winning 70% of his tackles and winning 6.8 duels per 90 minutes, demonstrating his strong ball-winning abilities.
Gyabi has also excelled in possession, completing 58% of his dribbles and creating 0.9 chances per 90 minutes—outstanding numbers for a deep-lying midfielder. These qualities make him an ideal fit for Farke’s playing style.
While the prospect of Phillips returning would excite supporters due to his previous success at the club and top-flight experience, Gyabi’s recent form and potential show he is more than capable of stepping up next season.
