With just nine games left, Farke will need to call upon the full depth of his squad.
From Manor Solomon, who has rediscovered his top form, to the crucial Ao Tanaka in midfield, the team will rely on their collective talent to stay composed through this crucial run-in.
A key part of that effort will be the return of Schmidt, who Farke confirmed is fit to play against QPR after recovering from an illness that kept him out of the Millwall victory.
The defender has now returned to full training and will be available for selection this weekend.
Farke provided an update on the team’s injury situation, saying: “As it stands, I hope to have the entire squad, including Isaac Schmidt, available for the trip.
In terms of the starting XI and recovery, we’ll make some late decisions. This turnaround is a bit more difficult.
We had 80 hours to recover for Millwall, but this time it’s just over 60 hours. The travel adds to the challenge.”
Every Player Will Count in Leeds’ Promotion Push
Although Schmidt hasn’t been in the spotlight much this season, often coming off the bench, his return could be pivotal as Leeds enter the final stretch of the campaign.
The summer signing, who has impressed Farke with his attitude and mentality, could play a key role as the team pushes for promotion.
Earlier in the season, Farke praised Schmidt’s contributions, saying: “He’s a great guy, a bit like all our new signings. He’s still at a really good age, on the up in his career.
He has a fantastic mentality, is eager to play for the team, and is a great character. A really nice guy and teammate.”
