Glasgow Rangers have reached the quarter-finals of the Europa League for the second time in the last four seasons.

However, despite this achievement, even the most optimistic fans might struggle to envision another deep run this season, especially after Barry Ferguson’s side were outclassed in Thursday’s match.
With the end of the season fast approaching, attention is shifting towards the appointment of a permanent manager for the 2025/26 campaign. Whoever takes the reins will face a crucial summer transfer window, one that could make or break Rangers’ chances of challenging Celtic for domestic supremacy.
In order to free up the wage bill, a few first-team players will likely need to be sold, and there will surely be interest in some of those who have impressed this season. One player in particular, Hamza Igamane, has caught the eye and could be on his way out.
Hamza Igamane’s Rangers Future
While the Moroccan striker’s early form at Ibrox may have cooled, there’s no doubt he has the potential to become a star. As of now, Igamane has scored 13 goals and provided three assists in 36 appearances across all competitions.
He has adapted well to the physicality of Scottish football, but it’s in European competition where he’s truly shone.
In the Europa League, he’s scored four goals and assisted once in just eight matches, with only four of those being starts.
His standout performances include a brace against French side Nice during a 4-1 away victory in November, followed by a well-taken goal against Tottenham Hotspur shortly after.
Journalist Graeme Bailey reported that Everton scouts were present at the Tottenham game and were impressed by his performance.
With the transfer window approaching, Philippe Clement was preparing for potential offers for one of his key players.
Although Igamane stayed at Ibrox after last winter’s transfer window, it appears there will be more interest this summer.
According to Football Insider, Everton are preparing to return with an offer for the 22-year-old, as manager David Moyes looks to strengthen his attacking options.
However, Marseille and Sevilla are also reportedly interested, meaning a bidding war could ensue. Rangers will need to stand firm and demand the best possible fee for their young striker.

Rangers Eyeing Igamane’s Replacement
Football Insider journalist Pete O’Rourke has revealed that Rangers are eyeing St Mirren striker Toyosi Olusanya as a potential signing for next season.
Olusanya, whose contract is expiring, is expected to leave the Buddies at the end of the season, making him an ideal target for a bargain move to Ibrox.
The 27-year-old has enjoyed a stellar season, scoring 12 goals in 35 appearances, nearly doubling his tally from the previous campaign.
Eight of those goals have come in the Premiership, where his direct style of play has caused plenty of problems for opposition teams.
In the top flight, Olusanya averages 1.8 shots per game, creates two key chances, and has a 16% goal conversion rate.
His standout performance came in a 3-0 win over Aberdeen in January, where he not only scored but also won 100% of his ground duels, succeeded in all his dribble attempts, and made a key pass.
Olusanya’s teammate Mikael Mandron praised his ability, stating, “He has no ceiling. His quality, pace, power, and finishing would work at any level, so I don’t think there’s a limit to what he can achieve.”
The striker’s performances have certainly caught the attention of other clubs, but it’s clear that he’s highly valued at St Mirren.
For Rangers, Olusanya could offer something different to their current attacking options.
Signing him on a free transfer would represent solid business and provide valuable depth to their squad, especially if Igamane departs.
