David Moyes won’t be pleased with what Senegal’s media have said about Everton’s Idrissa Gana Gueye

Moyes has been focusing on enhancing Everton’s attacking play, and it’s clearly benefiting O’Brien, who has scored twice this season.
However, there’s less to smile about for Idrissa Gana Gueye, with Senegal’s media critical of his performance in a 0-0 draw against Sudan.
Senegal Media Criticize Gueye’s Attack After Goalless Draw with Sudan
Since rejoining Everton in January, Moyes has emphasized improving attacking patterns.
He aims to move away from Sean Dyche’s more pragmatic style, introducing possession-based drills in training.
That’s why Moyes likely won’t be happy with Senegal’s criticism of Gueye, who was called out for his lack of precision in attack during the stalemate with Sudan.
Seneweb wrote, “The Everton midfielder played his ball-winning role seriously but lacked precision in his attacking choices.
Despite being involved in regaining possession, his offensive impact was minimal. Although he touched the ball frequently, Gueye failed to be decisive in attack.”
They gave him a 5/10 match rating, one of the lowest scores across both teams.
Moyes Faces a Tough Decision on Gueye’s Future
Gueye has been one of Everton’s most reliable performers this season, even under Dyche.
The veteran midfielder is a fan favourite, but his contract expires in June, and there has been no indication of an extension.
Once Everton’s safety is mathematically secured, the Friedkin Group is expected to have a clearer budget and can begin negotiating new contracts.
With a lot of change expected next season, including the move to a new stadium, keeping Gueye’s experience could prove to be a wise decision.
