The Brazilian forward has been outstanding for the Old Gold this season, netting 13 goals in the top flight while also providing four assists.
Manager Vitor Pereira will be eager to convince Cunha to stay in the Midlands this summer, but with interest from other clubs, there’s a chance he might seek a move elsewhere for a higher salary.
The Latest on Cunha’s Future at Wolves
Cunha has been a revelation since his winter 2023 transfer, scoring 31 goals in 85 appearances across all competitions.
This is all the more impressive considering he has often played in an attacking midfield role, supporting strikers like Jorgen Strand Larsen this season and Hwang Hee-chan last year.
Currently, Cunha earns £90k-per-week at Molineux, making him one of the club’s top earners alongside Goncalo Guedes and Pablo Sarabia.
While his recent ban has raised some questions, his performances over the past few months make his salary justifiable.
However, he might soon be on his way out. Despite signing a new contract in the winter, Cunha is still attracting interest, particularly from Arsenal.
Last week, reports surfaced that Arsenal’s new sporting director, Andrea Berta—who was responsible for signing him at Atletico Madrid—is eager to bring him back to the Emirates.

One player who seems unlikely to feature in his plans is Fabio Silva, whose time at the club could finally come to an end this summer.
According to journalist Graeme Bailey, Pereira may look to cash in on the Portuguese striker.
“I don’t believe Silva will be back; based on his form in Spain, he’s going to secure a good move, and Wolves will take the cash and reinvest it elsewhere,” Bailey noted.
Silva has just one year remaining on his £80k-per-week contract, meaning the club could still command a decent fee for him.
After spending the second half of last season on loan at Glasgow Rangers, Silva failed to impress, scoring just six goals in 25 appearances for the Scottish side.
Former Rangers midfielder Derek Ferguson was particularly critical, claiming that “Silva offers you absolutely nothing” in a scathing critique towards the end of the 2023/24 season.
This is a sharp contrast to the potential Silva showed when he was signed for a staggering £35m from Porto in 2020, at just 18 years old.
Almost five years later, Silva has scored just five goals in 72 appearances for Wolves—a far cry from the promise he once displayed.
This season, Silva has been out on loan at La Liga side Las Palmas, where he has found his form, scoring eight goals in just 20 games, including a memorable strike against Real Madrid in January.
