“Agbonlahor’s Shocking Leeds Jibe – Is He Really This Confident About Villa’s Dominance?”

Gabby Agbonlahor Jokes Leeds’ Promotion Will Benefit Aston Villa

Leeds United could secure their long-awaited return to the Premier League as early as this evening, depending on results at both Elland Road and Turf Moor.

The Whites face Stoke City on Easter Monday, knowing that a win combined with Sheffield United failing to beat Burnley would be enough to send them back to the Premier League two years after their relegation.

It’s set to be an exciting day in Leeds, and the atmosphere is understandably tense ahead of the matches.

However, one person who seems to be quietly hoping for a Leeds promotion is former Aston Villa forward and radio pundit Gabby Agbonlahor.

While Agbonlahor is not known for his affection for Daniel Farke’s Leeds, he couldn’t resist a playful comment ahead of the crucial Championship fixtures.

He joked that Leeds’ promotion would be good news for Villa, giving them an easy six points in the meetings between the two teams next season.

“Great if Leeds do come up, because it’s six points for Villa,” Agbonlahor quipped.

To put his comment into context, Aston Villa won 2-1 at Villa Park the last time Leeds were in the Premier League, while the return fixture at Elland Road ended in a 0-0 draw.

In the previous season, the two sides played out a thrilling 3-3 draw at Villa Park, but Leeds were heavily beaten 3-0 at home.
