Glasner: Europa League Qualification Makes Crystal Palace a More Attractive Destination
Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner has acknowledged that the club’s profile in the transfer market has been significantly boosted by their FA Cup triumph and subsequent Europa League qualification.
The Eagles secured European football for the first time in their history with a 1-0 victory over Manchester City at Wembley, thanks to a first-half goal from Eberechi Eze.
The win also marked Palace’s first-ever major trophy.
With stars like Marc Guehi, Adam Wharton, and Eze himself already attracting interest from other clubs, Glasner admitted that Palace’s newfound European status could help in both retaining key players and attracting new talent.
“Of course, we’ll be a more attractive option,” Glasner said. “Crystal Palace in the Premier League is already appealing—we have fantastic players.
But now, with European football, the appeal grows. It’s going to be a busy summer in the transfer market.”
However, the Palace manager was eager to put talk of transfers on hold—at least for the moment.
“I don’t want to think about that today,” he added. “I’m trying to get into party mode and enjoy the moment.
