Eddie Nketiah, making a rare start under manager Oliver Glasner, made the most of his opportunity by scoring twice in five minutes.
The brace marked a major personal achievement for the 25-year-old forward, who netted his 50th career goal. Speaking after the match, Nketiah expressed his determination to have a greater impact next season.

Nketiah joined Palace last summer after leaving Arsenal in pursuit of regular playing time.
However, he has struggled to secure a consistent role, starting just nine league matches and scoring three goals, as he’s found it tough to displace Jean-Philippe Mateta in the lineup.
Crystal Palace Competing With Rivals to Sign Jamie Vardy
While Nketiah hopes for more chances next season, his path may become more challenging.
According to Football Insider, Crystal Palace have reached out to veteran striker Jamie Vardy regarding a possible move to Selhurst Park.
The report claims Palace have initiated contact with Vardy’s representatives to gauge his interest in a potential transfer.
The 38-year-old forward, who scored in his final appearance for Leicester City at the King Power Stadium, is keen to continue playing at a high level.
However, Palace face competition. Wolves and Leeds United are also reportedly pursuing Vardy, while Everton are currently seen as frontrunners for his signature.
Praised as “brilliant” by Gary Lineker, Vardy scored nine goals in 35 Premier League appearances this season, bringing his career total in the competition to an impressive 145.
It remains uncertain whether Vardy is open to a move to South London, but any deal would likely require matching his current wages, reportedly around £140,000 per week.
