Nottingham Forest have long been linked with a player named Cunha, but the one set to arrive at the City Ground isn’t the striker many had anticipated.

Still, a Cunha will be joining Forest—just not the one fans initially had in mind.
Forest are set to welcome central defender Jair Cunha from Brazilian side Botafogo, alongside left-back Cuiabano and midfielder Igor Jesus. All three will join the Reds after representing Botafogo at the Club World Cup, before linking up with Forest in time for pre-season.

The 6’5″ centre-back stood out with a commanding performance and contributed an assist in the 86th minute with a well-delivered cross that Artur Victor converted for the winner.
Neymar’s dismissal came ten minutes earlier in bizarre fashion—already on a yellow card, the Brazil legend attempted to punch the ball into the net under pressure from defenders. The blatant handball didn’t go unnoticed, and he was promptly sent off.
