Now, less than a year after arriving at Portman Road, he has sealed a high-profile move to a top-tier club. Despite the quick turnaround, he made sure to express his gratitude to Ipswich for their role in his development.
“I want to say a massive thank you to everyone at Ipswich Town for everything they’ve done for me during my time here,” he said.
“Although we didn’t reach our ultimate goal, the warm welcome I received and the continued support from the manager, coaching staff, and fans created the perfect environment for me to experience regular Premier League football for the first time in my career.
“There’s so much to look forward to at this club, and I truly believe Ipswich will be back in the Premier League very soon. I’ll be cheering them on from a distance.
