‘It’s from the club’…Sunderland star Trai Hume has just lifted the lid on his future amid links to Everton
Everton are actively searching for a right-back during this summer’s transfer window.
Ashley Young has confirmed he will leave the club once his contract expires, ending his two-year stay on Merseyside.
Seamus Coleman’s contract is also set to expire later this month, but manager David Moyes has already stated that Coleman will remain involved with the club in some capacity.
With Coleman advancing in age, there is a clear urgency for Everton to bring in a new right-back. Brighton’s Tariq Lamptey has been linked with a move to Goodison Park.
Sunderland’s full-back Trai Hume has also emerged as a potential target, and he has recently addressed the speculation surrounding his future amid the Everton interest.

Reports suggest Sunderland have set a £20 million asking price for Hume, sparking talk that the club might be willing to sell.
However, Hume has now clarified his position at Sunderland, indicating that any potential move would come from the club’s side rather than his own desire to leave.
“I’ve said it since I joined Sunderland, I really love playing football here,” the Northern Ireland international explained. “I love playing, I love the club, and I’m happy where I am. If anything happens, it’s the club’s decision. I enjoy playing for Sunderland and am happy to stay.”
Everton may turn their attention to Kyle Walker-Peters
Everton had shown interest in Southampton’s Kyle Walker-Peters during the January transfer window but chose not to pursue a deal, opting to save funds for the summer.
With Walker-Peters’ contract with Southampton expiring at the end of this month, he is expected to become a free agent, presenting Everton with a chance to sign him at a bargain.
Signing the former England international would allow Jake O’Brien to return to his preferred central defensive position.
