Leif Davis played a pivotal role in Ipswich Town’s impressive climb from League One to the Premier League. Over the past three seasons, the full-back has racked up 119 league appearances for the Tractor Boys, contributing six goals and 34 assists. On an estimated £25,000-a-week deal (according to Capology), his performances have sparked interest from other clubs following Ipswich’s drop back down to the Championship. As reported by TWTD in May, Nottingham Forest are monitoring Davis closely.
A potential move to Forest could be attractive, especially with Nuno Espirito Santo’s side securing a spot in next season’s UEFA Conference League.
Meanwhile, winger Omari Hutchinson made his stay at Portman Road permanent last summer after helping the club secure promotion to the top flight. During the 2023/24 campaign—while still on loan from Chelsea—he scored 10 goals and provided five assists in 44 Championship appearances. In the Premier League, he featured in 31 of Ipswich’s 38 matches, adding three goals and two assists, including strikes against Manchester United and Chelsea.
Hutchinson, 21, is now reportedly available for £35 million due to a release clause activated by the club’s relegation. While no formal bids have emerged yet, his youth, homegrown status, and Premier League experience could attract interest as the transfer window progresses. If a club meets the clause, Ipswich will be powerless to stop the move—similar to what happened with Delap’s transfer to Chelsea.
Goalkeeper Aro Muric also faces an uncertain future. He began last season as Ipswich’s number one but was replaced by Alex Palmer in January. Having joined from Burnley just last summer, Muric may look to move on in search of regular first-team football, rather than play a backup role in the Champions.
