Leeds United’s Summer Strategy Goes Beyond Just Signing Quality Players

Nmecha echoed similar sentiments, revealing that talks with manager Daniel Farke played a big role in his decision to join. Leeds are making it a point to ensure that every new arrival is fully on board before finalizing deals.
That same approach appears to be guiding their pursuit of Nikola Krstovic. According to Corriere dello Sport, Leeds have agreed a £19.6 million fee with Lecce for the striker.
However, the next step is to convince the player to accept personal terms. The club is reportedly offering a strong wage package and is actively negotiating with Krstovic’s camp.
While the 25-year-old is said to prefer staying in Italy, Leeds are hopeful they can persuade him to make the move to Yorkshire.
A Clinical Finisher Needed for the Premier League
Leeds are clearly in the market for a proven goal scorer. While Joel Piroe finished as the top scorer last season, his finishing at times lacked the sharpness needed at the top level.
Krstovic, on the other hand, has proven himself to be a natural finisher.
This past season, the Montenegrin striker stood out with his aggressive style and willingness to shoot—his 137 attempts were the most by any forward in Serie A.
He also offers strong hold-up play, often carrying the ball forward on his own when needed.
