Tottenham Hotspur Close to Signing Leeds United Talent Oliver Boast

Tottenham Hotspur are nearing a deal to sign promising Leeds United youth striker Oliver Boast.

As reported by Beren Cross of The Athletic, Boast has opted to leave Leeds after finding himself behind Harry Gray in the youth team hierarchy.

The 16-year-old, who has already featured for Leeds’ U21 side at just 15 and scored for England U16s, is regarded as one of the most promising prospects to come through the club’s academy.

Despite his potential, Boast has chosen to move on, with a seven-figure fee reportedly agreed between the two clubs.

A Big Opportunity at Tottenham

Joining Spurs represents a major step forward in Boast’s career. Although he is not expected to feature in the first team immediately, he will begin his journey through the club’s development system.

Tottenham have been actively investing in young talent, and Boast’s signing continues that trend.

Highly regarded at Leeds, Boast possesses the skillset to eventually grow into a top-level Premier League player, provided he receives the right support and guidance.

A Blow for Leeds United

For Leeds, Boast’s departure is a significant setback. With promotion to the Premier League secured, the club is focused on building a sustainable squad for the future—and retaining top youth talent is a key part of that strategy.

Losing a player of Boast’s calibre, especially to a domestic rival, will be a disappointment.

The club will now look to reinforce their academy and prevent further losses of rising stars as they prepare for life back in the top tier.
