BAD NEWS”- Outstanding Tottenham star has hmjust held talk with with foreign club to leave this summer

TBR Football reports that LAFC has engaged in discussions with Tottenham Hotspur captain Son Heung-min regarding a potential transfer to the United States.

The MLS side is reportedly working on an exciting deal to bring the iconic Spurs leader to BMO Stadium this summer.

As revealed by TBR Football in June, Thomas Frank is open to the idea of selling Son, though the final call on his future will rest with the player himself.

Son now faces a significant opportunity to depart Tottenham this summer, with interest coming not only from MLS but also from the Saudi Pro League.

LAFC has cleared a Designated Player slot, paving the way for Son Heung-min’s arrival, according to sources who spoke with Graeme Bailey, Chief Correspondent at TBR Football.

Olivier Giroud’s recent exit from LAFC to join Ligue 1 side Lille freed up this crucial spot for the South Korean international.

MLS teams are allowed three Designated Player spots, which enable them to sign high-earning players whose wages exceed the league’s salary cap.

Currently earning around £190,000 per week and requiring a transfer fee, Son would need to fill one of LAFC’s available DP positions. The club has two such spots open following Giroud’s departure.

Ange Postecoglou has described Son as “outstanding,” and while the winger will have the freedom to decide his future this summer, it remains uncertain whether a move to the MLS will appeal to him.

Interest from Saudi Arabia is also on the table, while the option of staying in North London to compete in the Champions League one final time could be tempting.

TBR Football understands that Son is willing to collaborate with Thomas Frank, with a meeting planned between them to discuss his future once pre-season training resumes at Hotspur Way.

Son Heung-min should consider leaving Tottenham this summer on a high note, potentially by ending his Spurs career as a hero by lifting the Europa League trophy.

He made history as the first Spurs captain since Ledley King in 2008 to win a major trophy for the club, solidifying his legendary status.

However, at 32 years old, Son’s performance levels have started to decline, with a noticeable dip in his explosiveness and finishing last season despite contributing to 21 goals.

In Frank’s fast-paced system, the experienced winger may face challenges maintaining the dynamism he once brought to Tottenham’s attack.
