Report – £46.4million destroyer willing to finally agree Liverpool move

Liverpool might finally secure Atalanta star Ederson this summer, according to journalist Dean Jones.

Following a standout season with La Dea, where he helped win the Europa League, the Brazilian has caught the eye of several top European clubs.

Jones reported on GiveMeSport that Liverpool’s new manager, Arne Slot, is eager to add a holding midfielder this summer, and Ederson is a key target. The Reds’ new sporting director, Richard Hughes, has connections with the player’s representatives, which could facilitate a deal.

Additionally, Ederson is reportedly open to moving to Anfield, giving Liverpool further hope. Atalanta might accept a fee of around £46.4m (€55m) for the player, meaning Liverpool will need to make a significant investment to secure his services.

Liverpool previously showed interest in Ederson in January but did not formalize their pursuit. With the player now willing to move, the situation could change if Liverpool decides to act.

Ederson is a strong, dynamic player who is also comfortable with the ball at his feet. His abilities suggest he could thrive in the Premier League, making him a potentially excellent acquisition for Liverpool.

Do you think Liverpool should spend the reported £46.4m fee to sign the Atalanta star?
