"Mini Messi Of Tottenham"- Crystal Palace want to sign Tottenham Hotspur academy graduate once nicknamed the ‘mini-Messi’

**Prodigal Son Returns? Spurs Eye Homecoming for Marcus Edwards**

Tottenham Hotspur is considering bringing back Marcus Edwards, an academy graduate from Hotspur Way, to White Hart Lane this summer.

The North London club aims to bolster its offensive lineup to equip Ange Postecoglou with a strong squad for the upcoming season. Spurs have shown interest in Edwards, a dynamic winger who has made significant progress with Sporting CP in Portugal.

A product of Tottenham’s prestigious academy, Edwards has recently demonstrated his potential with flair and creativity. Daniel Levy’s goal is to assemble a competitive team on all fronts, and signing the 25-year-old could add a unique attacking option and depth to the Spurs roster.

**Homegrown Hero or Palace Prospect?**

Marcus Edwards is open to returning to the English Premier League, despite having two years left on his contract with Sporting Lisbon. Tottenham faces competition for his signature, as Premier League rivals Crystal Palace are also interested, according to Football Insider.

Palace seeks to replace Michael Olise, who transferred to Bayern Munich earlier this summer.

While Tottenham has yet to make a formal move for Edwards, they are closely monitoring the situation. Edwards might opt for a regular first-team role at Selhurst Park, which could lead him to choose Crystal Palace over a return to Tottenham.
