Most of these exits have not brought in significant funds, with only Joe Rodon and Troy Parrott’s transfers generating returns for the club. There is still time for this to change, as players like Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg attract interest.
“Poor old Emerson, I think he’d really like to go to AC Milan. He just wants to play regular football,” Gold said on his YouTube channel. “But AC Milan came in with a stunning bid of £8.5m, which Spurs rejected. It’s just madness. Spurs are looking for about £16.8m for him, but there is interest.”

On Wednesday night, Djed Spence started as right-back in the second half of the game at Tynecastle and impressed with a goal and an assist against Hearts.
Spence’s performance might have caught Postecoglou’s attention as Spurs seek a backup right-back in the market. It appears Tottenham would be willing to sell Emerson for the right price, but AC Milan’s offer fell short. However, Spence’s display may have furthered Emerson’s potential departure from Tottenham.
