"It may disappoint some everton fans"- Abdoulaye Doucoure shares six-word message after hearing transfer news out of Everton

The past week has been eventful for Everton at Goodison Park, highlighted by the recent takeover news.

Despite this, Everton has remained active in the transfer market, ranking among the busiest Premier League teams.

Manager Sean Dyche has witnessed several players leave Merseyside recently, driven by the need to balance the books against PSR last month.

However, the Toffees have also made new acquisitions, bringing in two new players this summer.

Midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure reacted on Instagram to the latest transfer news from Goodison.

In the early summer stages, Everton, like other Premier League clubs, faced financial worries.

Dyche saw departures, including Ben Godfrey, as the club needed funds to avoid further PSR penalties.

Now, with their PSR concerns resolved, Everton continues to see player exits.

The most recent significant departure was Amadou Onana, who joined Aston Villa, bringing in a substantial sum for the club.

Onana expressed gratitude to the club and fans on Instagram, delivering a heartfelt message after his two-year stint on Merseyside.

His classy farewell included a recorded video message, prompting responses from teammates like Idrissa Gana Gueye and Doucoure, who commented, “My brother… you deserve the best.”

Onana’s respectful farewell message will earn him a lot of respect.

While some Everton fans may be disappointed by Onana’s departure to another Premier League club, the deal benefits all parties, with Aston Villa gaining a promising player and Everton making a healthy profit.

Onana, now able to play Champions League football after Villa’s fourth-place finish last season, demonstrated class in his farewell to Everton, the club that gave him a platform to showcase his talent in England.
