Aston Villa’s bid for Michael Kayode rejected
According to Alfredo Pedulla, Fiorentina have rejected a bid from Aston Villa for right-back Michael Kayode. The bid amount hasn’t been disclosed, but Fiorentina reportedly value the Italian youth international at around £25 million.
Tottenham Hotspur have also shown interest in Kayode, having made an inquiry. Additionally, Bournemouth and Newcastle United are reportedly keen on signing the player.
It’s unclear if Aston Villa will make a second bid for Kayode. However, they may need to sell Jhon Duran first to fund the move. Duran has been linked with a transfer to West Ham United, but that deal seems unlikely as Villa are asking for £40 million. With West Ham now negotiating with Borussia Dortmund for Niclas Fullkrug, Duran is likely to remain at Villa, potentially affecting any further bids for Kayode.
