Everton have submitted “First Offer” to sign £51m Atletico-MG winger South America Star this summer
Everton have made an initial bid to sign Atletico-MG winger Alisson Montana, according to a report from GOAL Brazil, relayed by TEAMtalk.
The talented Brazilian winger has quickly risen through the ranks since his debut in 2021, becoming a standout in South America’s burgeoning talent pool. Alisson has made 35 appearances for Atletico-MG, drawing significant interest from Everton.
TEAMtalk, citing Brazilian sources, reports that Everton are competing with other clubs for the 18-year-old’s signature and have already made a ‘first offer,’ aiming to finalize a deal before the transfer window closes next week.
Atletico-MG are reportedly aware of the interest in Alisson but have not set an official price for the winger. The youngster’s contract with the club runs until 2027 and includes a €60m (£51.1m) release clause, according to the report.
However, Everton, dealing with financial constraints, are not considering paying the full release clause, which the club views as excessive.
The Toffees are currently short on natural wingers, with only Dwight McNeil and Jack Harrison as established options. While players like Iliman Ndiaye, Beto, and Jesper Lindstrøm can cover wing positions, a specialist winger like Alisson could bring a new dimension to Everton’s attack, which struggled in their opening-day defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion.
Alisson is one of the most promising young players in Brazil and could be the latest to make the leap to Europe. Goodison Park could become his next destination, offering Everton an exciting new attacking threat reminiscent of the flair seen during the days of Richarlison and Bernard.
With Everton’s first offer on the table, it remains to be seen whether Atletico-MG will accept the bid or stick to their £51.1m valuation.
