Romaine Mundle scored the decisive goal as Sunderland secured their third consecutive win on Saturday.
Sunderland winger Romaine Mundle has been named in the EFL’s Championship team of the week following his pivotal performance against Burnley. The 21-year-old, who stepped in for Jack Clarke after his transfer to Ipswich Town, scored the winning goal in the first half, leading Sunderland to a 1-0 victory. This win propelled Sunderland to the top of the table with nine points from their first three games, along with three straight clean sheets.

Although Mundle was the sole Sunderland player in the team of the week, his performance was part of several impressive displays from the club’s young squad.
