Former player turned pundit and coach Alex Bruce has praised Sunderland’s impressive start to the season under Régis Le Bris. Bruce, who has a strong connection to Sunderland and the North East through his father, Steve Bruce, who managed both Sunderland and Newcastle United, has been particularly impressed with the team’s performance and the passionate support from fans.
Sunderland has enjoyed a fantastic beginning to their Championship campaign, winning all four of their opening matches against Cardiff City, Sheffield Wednesday, Burnley, and Portsmouth. Alex Bruce highlighted the club’s promising start and the young squad’s cohesion, noting the impact of Le Bris’s management.
